The State is likely to implement the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, passed by Parliament without any modification as the Law Department has cleared the Act in toto.
The Act has been forwarded to the State Urban Development Department for close study. It came up for discussion in the State Cabinet meeting on Friday. It was decided to implement the Act without further delay after obtaining the opinion of the Urban Development Department, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister T.B. Jayachandra said.
